Matthew 18:3-6 “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”

In the Children’s ministry it is our desire that we line up with the mission statement of Belview.  The mission statement of Belview Baptist Church is to glorify God by leading people to Jesus Christ and equipping them to be faithful disciples.  We take our mission in Bkidz to deliver the great news of Jesus to each child that we come into contact with, in fun and exciting ways.  We strive to model Psalm 116:6 and to exercise child like faith as we evangelize.

Bkidz has a double meaning. Belview Kidz is one meaning. Of course, we are a representation of Belview, as our church family. What an honor and privilege it is to be part of such an awesome body of believers at Belview Baptist!  Be Kidz is a reminder for all of us to be like kids.  Matthew 18:3-6, our BKidz scripture theme tells us to humble ourselves as the little child, that the kingdom of heaven is as those
B – Green represents growth.  As teachers we are called to lead these children into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and disciple them as they grow in their faith and produce fruit. Jeremiah 17:8, Hosea 14:8
K – Yellow or Gold is representation of the holiness of God.  The temple was arrayed in gold, so it is no surprise that the New Jerusalem is described as being made of Gold in Rev. 21:18,21.  We are called to be holy because God is holy as we are God’s temple in 1 Peter 1:16, 1Cor. 6:19
I – Blue represents the Holy Spirit. Blue was used in the tabernacle Ex. 25; 26:1,4 and in the temple 2 chr. 2:7.
D – Purple represents royalty. Judges 8:26, Esther 8:15.
Z- Red represents the blood atonement that Jesus paid for the sins of man. The shedding of our Saviors blood was necessary for our salvation. Without the shedding of His blood we would not have eternal life. Eph. 5:2, Hebrews 9:13-15
